Tupelo Fiber and Design focuses on handwoven textiles for the home and wearable garments. All textiles are woven on antique looms. All fibers are natural, ranging from wool, alpaca, cotton, linen, and tencel. As often as possible, fibers are naturally or eco-dyed and sustainably sourced. Justine of Tupelo Fiber and Design also offers handspun and naturally dyed fibers from flowers and plants grown in her gardens in Urbanna, VA. Justine has been weaving, spinning, and naturally dyeing since 2011, learning from weaver and designer Melissa Johnson in Putney, Vermont. One of her recent adventures included visiting Star Thrower Farm in Paola, KS to assist with shearing a beautiful flock of Icelandic sheep. Product line includes: Campfire Blankets (signature design), tea towels, placemats, napkins, rugs, Turkish bath towels, scarves, cowls, and a range of custom products.
